| Who We Are
New Life
is a community of people devoted to God and engaged with Him
in the work of bringing restoration to a broken world. We
believe this can happen through one changed life at a time
through a transformation that occurs when one engages in a
personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that God
cares about the whole person, therefore the mission of restoration
occurs in the spiritual, physical, emotional and social /
community contexts. We believe that because God is a loving
being, Christ-followers strive to live out that love toward
all persons regardless of race, religion, or gender.
Our Core Beliefs
New
Life is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination and
our core beliefs include:
1) Salvation is received by faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians
2:8-9)
2) The Bible is inspired by God and has authority over our
lives
3) We worship one God who is revealed in three persons (trinity)
4) We observe the seventh-day Sabbath as a day of rest that
God instituted from creation week and re-emphasized during
the Exodus.
5) We believe in the soon return of Jesus (Matt. 24:42-44)
which will be visible (Rev. 1:6; Matt. 24:27) and will mark
the end of the world (2 Pet. 3:10-11). A new heaven and a
new earth is promised to the believer and this imminent return
is the blessed hope of the Christian (Titus 2:13)
6)
We believe that all things belong to God, including our time,
our money, our bodies and this earth, and that we are asked
by God to be wise stewards of these resources during this
time on earth.
7) God has also gifted each believer with a spiritual gift
which is to be used for the common good: to build up the body
(God’s church). New Life church members are encouraged and
expected to utilize their gifts in a fruitful and fulfilling
ministry. We do all we can to help you find that place of
service. We believe that the gift of prophecy will play a
prominent role in the end of time before second coming of
Jesus (Acts 2:17-18) and most Adventist believe that Ellen
White had that gift. Her books are still available today to
bless and point readers to Jesus.
